Who can join?
The Handphibians is open to all Madison community members. You don't need to be an experienced percussionist to play with us, just a commitment and desire to learn & play Brasilian music.

What's expected of me?
Members are asked first to commit to a 2 hr. rehearsal each week, and to attend scheduled sectionals or classes in preparation for performances & workshops. We also ask that members put in 1+ hours of weekly personal practice.

How do I learn?
New members initally receive instruction from experienced teachers in our fun 2 hr. weekly new members class. All members receive group instruction in rehearsals, worshops & sectionals. Individual instruction from experienced Handphibians members/teachers can also be arranged.

The Handphibians also bring professional Brazilian musicians & teachers to Madison for workshops & lessons throughout the year, & members have access to an extensive web library with a variety of educational & performance media.
